Both me and Mike missed going to the temple and felt bad that we couldn't make it as much as we used to in Utah with it being two hours away. Finally we decided we needed to at least go one more time together before Mike deploys so we invited Rick and Holly to come down with us.
I'm so thankful we went to the temple; I felt so happy, relaxed and filled with joy especially being able to do it holding hand and hand with Mike. We even got to be the witness couple again which was definitely rewarding. I'm truely blessed to have Mike in my life especially with him being the one to bring me into the LDS church.

This is another one of my favorite pictures- we just look so cute together :) You can tell my belly is even bigger here; it's crazy to think I only have like 2 months till I get to hold Jase in my arms. I have a beautiful eternal family- the best I could ever have!

A couple days after we returned from Las Vegas, we decided we wanted to do as many fun activites, that doesn't cost $, as possible. So one day we decided to take about a one to two mile hike to a waterfall. Aren't we cute hikers! :)

Look at that stud! He definitely didn't have as much troubles as I did trying to hike. I definitely love him for staying at my pace eventhough a turtle could probably go faster than me :)

There's me and my cute belly :) Jase is definitely getting bigger and more fun to pack around. I'm pretty proud of myself for hiking at how far along I am- 30 weeks only 10 to go!

The waterfall was absolutely beautiful and the hike to get there was definitely worth it! It was fun to feel the mist on my face and climb up the rocks with my hiking boots :) I'm so thankful to have Mike with me to spend these moments before he goes.

I just had to add this picture- It's definitely one of my favorites and it is so dang cute! I got way too lucky to find Mike and be able to keep him throughout eternity! :)

Mike's Homecoming (of 3 weeks)

After Mike came home on Sept. 13 from his 2 month predeployment training, both me and him went to Las Vegas for the Yellow Ribbon Ceremony. This is where the soldiers' families come and learn about the deployment to Afghanistan. This is a picture of the hotel we stayed at which is called the Alexis Park hotel just located next to the strip.


This is the first night in Vegas on our way back to the hotel from eating dinner at the buffet located at the Monte Carlo. Mike had to pose with the clone trooper, I think :)- don't judge me, I haven't really watched Star Wars as you can tell lol.

This is us eating at the Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville the second night. It was absolutely amazing and my dinner was yummy!!!- I had coconut shrimp :) We also got to eat right off the balcony above the strip!

After dinner, me and Mike walked down the strip to see the Mirage's volcano explode, the pirate show at Treasure Island, the water show and just looked at all the different hotels. I had a blast but I definitely got my work out from all the walking! :)

My hubby posing along the strip. It was extrememly nice to go on a little vacation with him especially with him being gone for 2 months and leaving again for deployment in 3 weeks. I'll definitely miss my best friend!

This is us waiting for our shuttle bus to pick us up and take us to the airport so we could go home. We had a short amount of time to be here but we both had the time of our lives and I'll definitely remember our moments together and happy. It couldn't have got any better and I couldn't be any happier to share it with Mike :)

My cute baby bump is getting bigger!

Jase at 24, 25 and 26 weeks :)

Me and Jase at 24 weeks along! Crazy that I'm already this far. I'm so excited for him to continue to grow and soon for me to be able to hold him :) Jase is a very active baby especially at night. I keep telling him to stop moving so I can go asleep but he is definitely his own boss. Silly boy! I look like such a dork trying to take a picture of myself lol.

A little bigger at 25 weeks. I went to another doctor's appointment this week and they said my tummy measures 25 cm long and Jase's heart beats 146 beats per minute which is perfect and exactly where they want him to be. Both me and Jase are doing perfect; I'm a happy momma :)

Another picture of my baby bump! Exciting :) except for the stretch marks lol. Jase still moves like crazy but I'm not going to complain because it is definitely one of the best feelings ever! Every movement just makes me smile more!

What a cute mommy-to-be :) I wanted to try something this week; to see if I can feel Jase through my hand placed on my belly. At first Jase acted as if it were a game where he would move like crazy but as soon as I place my hand on my tummy, he would stop every time. I can definitely tell now that Jase has his own personality :) It may just have been something new to him and he didn't know what to do but eventually I got him to feel back. It was so exciting!

I'm at 26 weeks and into my third trimester! Yay I'm 2/3 done with only a 1/3 to go! I've got so much to do with so little time. Time to go baby crazy :) I'm excited to buy all of Jase's clothes and necessities but I'm also nervous. Crazy how my belly grows more and more each week; I think I'm big now but I can't imagine what it'll be like in a couple of months. Wish me luck lol :)

A New Part of Our Family

This is our first ultrasound picture of our tiny baby. We took this ultrasound on May 15, 2010 when the baby was only 10 weeks along. The baby was very active and happy as we watched it dance and move its body inside week. I was glowing and truely happy watching my baby move in me :)

These next two ultrasounds we took on July 12, 2010 where the baby was 20 weeks along. The baby must have been tired because it was laying on its stomach with its hand covering its face and it wouldn't move at all. We couldn't check its face for cleft mouth or its heart to see if it has all four chambers so the doctor was about to give up looking and have us come another day. Just as the doctor came to check one more final time, the baby rolled over. What a silly stubborn baby; I guess it didn't want to come back to do this again lol. I was most fascinated in watching the heart flutter like a butterfly as our baby lived inside me :)

The first ultrasound showed the baby laying on its back finally with its arm resting over its head; this second ultrasound shows its tiny foot and its body curled up into a ball.

We also found out that our baby is a boy!!!! YAY! :)

His name will be Jase Michael Newsome!

Our baby boy is starting to get big. I get more and more anxious to meet him and I fall more in love with him each day. He is truely a miracle and blessing in our life!

This was pretty much our date together before we went to work at 2:30 pm. We always ran around the park and even see the geese and ducks. I was freaking out how close it would get to me lol.
